London - December 2015
For the beginning of December 2015, I flew to London to visit my brother for a week. To be honest with you, I wasn't happy about it much for personal reasons. The moment I got there though, I fell in love.
I have already been to London once with my school so I have already been sightseeing all the places that normal tourist go so this time, I didn't have to. I couldn't even because my brother studies university there and it is his last year and the week I came was the busiest for him. So i didn't do much except for going to China town that I haven't been before, shopping at Westminster Mall, going through Oxford Street, eating at local restaurants that were near the places my brother lives (yes, I had Nando's !!!), took the bus to get home, and finally took the train and went to visit my cousin in Surrey. It doesn't seem much, but I surely enjoyed my time there and as I said, I fell in love with London.
So I didn't only see the touristic side of London, but the everyday life too. I have been stuck in the horrendous London traffic that everybody talks about, I had to fit myself in the jam pack subway in the rush hours, and walked alone down the streets with people with backpacks, purses and briefcases instead of cameras and travel bags. While I can see how that can be repelling to somebody, I loved it. I loved the rush because it made me feel somehow safe, not lonely. And when I finally got home and I was alone, I wanted to start the day again. I used to live in a big city, but I was not as busy as London. There were fewer people there too and I loved it. I love the peace and quiet and I would never guessed that I would love a busy city so much, but I do.

Also, people there and very nice. I know that everywhere, there are good and bad people but in my experience, I haven't met anybody who was rude to me yet. Everybody was very helpful in helping me finding my way home or somewhere when I went alone. I will never forget the strangers who said good morning to me when I was walking to the subway station. I brighten my day.
